Dear Martin,

did you check out www.toutfait.com - there are
some articles on the readymades and both the
bibliographies and footnotes should be of help
re: available literature on the subject. Also,
Francis M. Naumann's new book: "Marcel Duchamp:
The Art of Making Art in the Age of Mechanical
Reproduction" (1999, distributed by Abrams) will
be of help, as well as Thierry de Duve's essay in
'The Duchamp Effect' (MIT/October, 1996, Martha
Buskirk and Mignon Nixon (eds.)) is a good read
in regard to your subject: "Echoes of the
Readymade: Critique of Pure Modernism" (pp.93-130)
My favorite is always Peter Buerger's
"Theory of the Avantgarde" in which he talks in
length about the 'Readymades' (Frankfurt School
style). There's tons of literature out there.
All aforementioned sources should be readily
available through any university library.

Good luck,

Thomas
