Hi Erica,

The painting, ca. 23 x 28 in., was painted in Veules-les-Roses in 1911. It is now in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Duchamp himself refered to the ptg. in 1964 as "a very loose interpretation of the Cubist theories" aacording to Arturo Schwarz' "Complete Works of Marcel Duchamp" (NY: Delano Greenidge, 2000), p. 547, cat. no. 221 (with illustration). I guess the cheapest book in which you can fin a color reproduction is Janis Mink's "Marcel Duchamp: Art as Anti-Art" (Taschen, 1994), available everywhere for no more than US$ 12.00

Best regards,
Thomas Girst
