Duchamp combines two of his drawings and a painting to create Network of Stoppages.
(UPDATE 08/14/08): We use the Oil Painting, Young Man and Girl in Spring, oil on canvas, 1911, as the visual reference to best visualize the under-layer that is obscured. This under-layer is very similar, but not an exact version of the actual painting that now hangs in Israel at the Jerusalem Museum of Art. Thanks to Kurt Godwin for suggesting this clarification. |
